I totally need to up my exercise level. I wore my iPhone/pedometer haha and only walked like 1.35 miles at work today (stupid desk job) and then I walked like 25 minutes after dropping of that fucking package at FedEx. Only 6250 steps today plus my 30d day shred of course. So now I need to work out in the morning and evening. I need to get used to being active again. Plus I miss doing my Pilates and yoga. The goal is 60 minutes of physical activity a day so with the walking I do to and from the bus and my morning workout plus something in the evening I will meet my goal.
Reducing my carbs has been OK so far. Only on week two so let's not get crazy. My coworker bought kolaches today dammit. I ate two bites and threw it away. I couldn't trust myself. I did forget to bring a sweet snack today so that made it harder. So tomorrow I am bringing lite yogurt and a protein bar for snacks and a nice big lunch so I should be OK.
I just had my evening snack of string cheese and half my protein shake and it was nice and filling. Can't wait to get paid Wednesday so I can stock up on more healthy food. I increased my fat intake so I can get closer to the 40/30/30 breakdown. As counterintuitive as that seems to me, I am staying fuller for longer and my skin is starting to look better too. I have to eat healthier fats though. Once I have my olive oil I can grill my tofu in style haha. And some avocados to add to my salads. And nuts too. Yummy.
I am basically doing a combination of the Zone, the Formula Diet and the Mediterranean Diet (minus the sea food). Eating the healthy fats, increased level of good veggies and fewer bad carbs, and increased protein. I want to get comfortable enough that I can say it's not a diet, it's my lifestyle.
