I made myself go to the gym after work. I came home grabbed my stuff and walked the .9 miles to the gym. 15 minutes of weights and 35 minutes of the treadmill. Then .9 mile walk home. So I ended up walking/running at least 4.5 miles! Yay.
I hadn't eaten since 1:30 PM either so I was starving before I even worked out. I came home and had a sandwich with veg chicken and half a hardboiled egg, creamy squash soup and spicy sweet chili Doritoes (the best flavor ever!) Total cals for the day were 1100. I am very happy with myself. I will have some detox tea and sit in front of the fire now.
Bringing food to work seems to be helping me not smoke. I bring a lot, yogurt and fruit, pretzels, some kind of lunch (pasta or a salad.) We get free chips at work so today I took my free bad home to eat with dinner. I should do the same tomorrow.
Now that I have money I can buy healthy groceries. I guess I'll walk to and from the store tomorrow night (can't buy too much if I have to walk.) It will also give me a chance to drop off my water bill check.
I know people always start the year off working out and trying to be healthy. And I am sure I will slack off as the year goes on. Especially once I start my second class and I go out of town for vacations or whatever. That's why I want to get as much done now as possible. To plant those good habits so it becomes routine. I want to be able to run a mile by March. Sad that I can't. i was never able to ever until 2007. The last time I did it was 2009. But now that I have cut back/quit smoking I can work up to it again. Then I want to be able to run 2 then 3 then eventually 5 miles by the time I move to NYC at the end of August. Does that sound too ambitious? 7 months to get up to 5 miles of running? If it is then I'll revise my goal.
Health really is important to me, not just weight lose. Because eventually I might get pregnant and look like shit (haha I mean glow and be lovely) but I still will want to be healthy during pregnancy of course.
Rambling as usual. I really like planning and making to do lists and resolutions, etc. I like having goals and crossing things off of lists. It makes me happy.
